Another significant CSR endeavor of Ms. Islam is her active involvement in environmental advocacy. As a member of Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA), she diligently works toward the protection and preservation of the environment. BAPA is renowned for its advocacy of sustainable practices and a healthy living environment with clean air. Ms. Islam’s involvement in environmental causes demonstrate her concern for the well-being of future generations, and reflects her commitment to leaving a positive impact on the planet.
Mousumi Islam’s philanthropic initiatives extend to the welfare of senior citizens and orphans. She established the Rahima & Bulu Age Care Foundation, which provides assisted living facilities, nutritious meals, entertainment, and geriatric care to senior citizens, particularly those with physical and mental disabilities. This compassionate endeavor aims to ensure that the elderly receive the care and attention they deserve in their sunset years, fostering an environment of love and respect for them.
Mousumi Islam founded the BS Orphanage Shelter, a nurturing home for orphaned children, to provide them the support and resources needed for their overall growth and development. The shelter provides a secure and loving environment for these young individuals, empowering them to become responsible and dignified citizens of Bangladesh.
